If I won the lottery, I would use it for good. No flashy cars or houses, but things that would make a difference in other's lives. Some may not agree with the way that I spend my winnings but they can pay their dollar and try to win for themselves. I will add to the list as I think of more.
1. Fund the proposed park on Fourth Street in downtown W-S. The park would include sculpture by local artists, a mural by local children, trees that are dedicated to loved ones (living or not), artistic benches that are also heated (simialr in style to those at the Piedmont Farmer's Market), local musicians, and food vendors that serve healthy snacks.
2. A W-S version of Dogtown. A place where pets can receive free care so that owners do not have to give them up to shelters. It will include a vet, a food bank, heated barns with comfortable beds and lots of chew toys.
3. Donations to local charities that are close to my heart: Alzheimer's Foundation, (All) Cancer Foundations, American Heart Association, Ronald McDonald House, Make a Wish Foundation
4. Work with local massage schools to have them practice on teachers to recieve their clinical hours.
5. Donations to local non-profits: Public Radio, Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership, Visit Winston-Salem, Old Salem, Winston-Salem Foundation, W-S Symphony
