Joe thinks that we (ok, I) socialize too much. I have decided to go on Social Haitus for a month. Yeah, we will see how long that lasts. We already have obligations for the next week.
Saturday:House Warming Party
Monday: SueDay with Dad
Tuesday: Toni's 40th Birthday. (Yay, Toni)
Wednesday: Dinner at a Friend's House
Thursday: Joe out of town so I am going to Alive After Five to see Peter Grzan play.
Ok, so maybe it is a little out of hand if I have something every weeknight...
This time three years ago, our social life was not nearly what it is now. Maybe one event a week back then. While I agree that some of our social obligations have gotten a bit out of control, I am not one that likes to sit around the house on a Friday night, watching TV.
I want to be on a patio somewhere drinking a glass of wine. I want to be eating calamari with friends (I know, not good for me but SO not the point.) I enjoy looking at art in the galleries, still hoping that I can find the right pieces at the right price to fill the bare walls. Of course, SarahSouth is brilliant with her easy art ideas and I will totally steal her idea. Immitation is the greatest form of flattery, right?
So I stayed home on a Friday night. I was bored and am heading to bed at 9pm.
very flattered here! i still have a bunch of empty frames so i better find another great magazine or send some photos to snapfish PRONTO.
