
I have also been invited to a friend’s house to celebrate a Swedish/American Christmas. There was pickled herring, Swedish Schnapps that was to be consumed in a shot glass after each traditional Swedish Christmas song, and Glögg (similar to a mulled wine with raisins and almonds). There was also traditional American fare, such as Honey Baked Ham, potatoes, and cheeses. It was nice way to spend an afternoon with good friends.
An early evening followed with lighting luminaries (even though the rain tried to stop me) and wrapping presents.
